To do this Class, you MUST own a Lutterloh Pattern Making kit. A basic sewing knowledge is also required. You will learn easy ways to alter patterns to be cut on the bias. By using the Lutterloh Pattern System, you will draft your own basic patterns, and change them to different styles.

Bias-cut garments are known for their soft, flowing allure. As beautiful as bias is to look at, its beauty is matched by its reputation for being so difficult to sew. True, a bias garment is not for a beginner sewer, but for someone with a few garments under the belt (needle?), working with bias can be a rewarding experience. Bias-cut garments are surprisingly easy to cut and make, provided certain basic rules are followed in both the cut and construction.

By following the easy step-by-step instructions of the Bias-cut Pattern Making Online Class you will draft your own pattern blocks.

I will personally answer your questions as we go along, and you will have the opportunity to see what others ask and the answers as well. You will not only learn a lot, but will also have fun.

Skirt block:

Gently flared skirt

Four Gore bias skirt
Camisole block

V-lace insertion

Camisole with centre front seam gathers

Basic cowl on camisole
Dress block:

Strappy shift dress

Empire dress

Princess style dress
